Walter Lee Edwards

Mr. Edwards was born on April 26, 1930 in Kingston, GA, son of the late Miles Edwards and Mamie Segars Edwards.

Mr. Edwards retired from EZ Mills and Shaw Industries. He was of the Baptist Faith.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Edwards; brothers, Rembert, Bradley, A.L., and Ralph Edwards; sisters, Pauline Pinion and Effie Riggins.

Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at three o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, the 16th of July, 2016 in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Cline and Rev. Scott Shepard officiating. Interment will follow with an escorted cortege in Sunset Memory Gardens.

Serving as pallbearers are Danny Thurman, Jimmy Fowler, Ray Tant, Ben Fowler and Josh Elsberry.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from eleven o’clock in the morning until three o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, the 16th of July, 2016 at Owen Funeral Home.
