Mrs. Guyton was born January 8, 1929 in Bartow County, Georgia, daughter of the late Clarence R. Mullinax and Myrtle Idalene Westbrooks Mullinax. She was a Homemaker and a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. She was a member of the Kingdom Builders Sunday School Class and served as Class Secretary. She, along with her husband, started the Atco Keenagers Senior Group and she taught 4-5 year old’s for 40+ years at Atco. She loved her church and her family. She catered weddings, loved quilting and cooking for her family and others. She loved gardening, tending to her flowers and working in the yard. She loved watching her granddaughter dance ballet, watching her grandson play baseball and helping out as room mother to her grandchildren during those primary and elementary years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Lee (Danny) Guyton; her parents, Clarence R. & Idalene Mullinax; mother & father-in-law, Leoland & Bessie Guyton; brothers & sisters, J.C. (Leo) Mullinax, Grace (Hank) Pressley, Barbara Sue Mullinax, Gary Mullinax, Larry Mullinax; sister-in-laws & brother-in-laws, Rachel Guyton, Patricia (Tom) Turk, Charles Guyton. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister to all.
Survivors include a daughter & son-in-law, Thonya & Gary Boston; grandchildren, Garison Boston all of Cartersville and Callie (Josh) Waters of Kingsville, TX; brothers & sisters, Jerol (Jerrie) Mullinax, Nell (Richard) Warren, Carolyn (J.C.) Waters, Shirley (James Ross) Hobgood; sister-in-laws, Sara Frances Guyton all of Cartersville, Margie (Hank) Waddell of Germantown, TN, Sandra (Larry) Ferguson of Cedar Bluff, AL; a host of nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday morning October 29th at 11:00 a.m. at Tabernacle Baptist Church with Dr. Don Hattaway officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Owen Funeral Home.
