Thomas Edwin Stewart

Mr. Stewart was born January 15, 1931 in Dallas, Ga. a son of the late John Ervin Stewart and Ella Marcel Graves Stewart.

He was of the Baptist faith, a veteran of the Korean conflict, and a retired heavy machine operator. He loved fishing and telling stories about his childhood, and was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Survivors include his wife, Millie Jo Stewart, daughters and spouses, Sherry and John Smith, Cindy and Tommy Petroskil, Vickie Williams, Donna Truitt, Crystal and Bruce Jacobs and Sheila and Brian Southern, all of Cartersville, 17 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, two sisters, Janice Anderson, of Woodstock and Linda Ross, of White, three brothers, Johnny Stewart, of Woodstock, Ernest Stewart, of White and Horace Stewart, of New Hope, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, July 3, 2011, from the Chapel of the Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Guyton officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 till 2:00 P.M. on Sunday.
