Steven Curtis Boy, beloved son, husband, father, and grandfather finished his earthly journey and entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on November 29, 2023. He was born April 9, 1947, in Amarillo, Texas, the only child of Albert John and Mary Lillian Boy.
Being the son of a career military man, Steve traveled extensively during his early years, graduating from a military dependent school in Seville, Spain in 1965. He served in the U. S. Army, 25th Infantry Division, including time in South Vietnam in 1968 – 69. Upon returning from Vietnam, he settled in Macon where his parents were. He also served eight years in the Air Force Reserve. Mr. Boy worked at Robins Air Force Base in the Aircraft Maintenance Division for 35 years, retiring at the end of 2011. In 2015, he and his wife resettled in Cartersville to be closer to their daughters.
He is survived by his bride of 52 years, Gloria Trahan Boy, his two daughters, Angela Boy (Roswell, Ga.), and Sarah Boy (Cartersville), and granddaughter Abigail Grace Boy (Roswell, Ga.)
A Celebration of his life will be held at Cartersville First Baptist Church in the Lottie Moon Chapel at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 2, 2023 with visitation beginning at 11:00. Internment is scheduled for Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at 11:00 am, Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, Georgia.
