Sidney Ann Wood

Mrs. Wood was born on December 23, 1944 in Cartersville, GA, daughter of the late Sidney Brantley and Ethel Cagle Brantley.

Mrs. Wood adored children and cared for many in her home. She was of the Baptist faith and in her younger years, she attended Faith Methodist Church, where she played the piano. In her spare time she enjoyed riding the motorcycle and traveling with her husband to the mountains. They traveled to Israel, which was the trip of their lifetime. They collected ice buckets from near and far in their travels. Her greatest joy was being surrounded by her family, especially her children.

Mrs. Wood is preceded in death by her husband, Donald John Wood.

She is survived by her sons, Kip (Emily) Wood and Kevin Wood; daughter, Janet (Rick) Henderson; grandchildren, Chase Wood and Kristie Wood.

Graveside services will be conducted at twelve o’clock in the afternoon on Wednesday, the 19th of April, 2023 at Oak Hill Cemetery with Pastor Seth Bunch officiating.
