Sallie Mae Shepherd

Mrs. Shepherd was born July 12, 1926, in Bartow County, the daughter of the late, George Elliott, Sr. and Maggie Richardson Elliott and was a member of Autry Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Tom Shepherd, a brother, George Elliott and a sister, Mary Hale.

Surviving are her children, Evon (Jackie) Dover, Anthony (Cathy) Shepherd, Tim (Becky) Shepherd, ten grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and a special thanks to Amedysis Hospice.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 3, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Towe officiating.

Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 5:00-9:00 p.m.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
