Ruth Crisp

Ruth was born January 26, 1937 in Crumples Mountain, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Colon Angle and Helen Bailey Angle.

She loved to spend her spare time reading her Bible, gardening and tending to her flowers in the yard. She was an active member of New Canaan Baptist Church in Cartersville, GA, where she sang in the choir. She enjoyed shopping at thrift stores, eating yogurt at TCBY and drinking European tea at the Grand Floridian Tea Room in Orlando, FL. She also loved to collect angels.

She is preceded in death by her brothers Tim and Randall Angle; and a sister, Bonnie Angle.

Survivors include her husband of 33 years, Chalmer Lee Crisp; daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and John Vayda of Orlando, FL; daughter and son-in law, Rita and John Wilson of Cartersville, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Clinton and Mary Ann Higginbotham of Charleston, SC; brothers and sisters-in-law, Fred and Sandy Angle and Boyd and Shirley Angle, all of New Smyrna Beach, FL, Wayne and Debbie Angle of Newark, OH; brother, Mark Angle of WV; grandchildren, Nathan and Angela Gallagher of Orlando, FL, John Wilson Jr., of Sanford, FL, Martin and Becki Wilson of Deland, FL, Clinton and Shannon Higginbotham of Adairsville, GA and James and Claudia Higginbotham of Charleston, SC; 9 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, January 14, 2013 from New Canaan Baptist Church, 1883 Joe Frank Harris PKWY, Cartersville, GA 30120 with the Rev. Larry Towe officiating.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Nathan Gallagher, Clinton Higginbotham III, James Higginbotham, Bradley Wilson, John Wilson, Jr. and Steven Gentry.

The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM, Monday January 14, 2013.
