Ronnie Hayes

Mr. Hayes was born April 14, 1939 in Henry County GA, son of the late Jefferson David Hayes and Annie G. Crowell Hayes.

Mr. Hayes was a true and faithful servant of the Lord and greatly cherished being a member of Sutallee Baptist Church in Canton, GA. He was an avid antique car collector and belonged to both the CHVA and AACA car clubs. His favorite antique car was his 56 Ford Crown Victoria. Mr. Hayes and his wife of 55 years, Doris Hayes, spent over 16 years as square dancing partners. He also loved spending time outdoors hunting and fishing.

Mr. Hayes was preceded in death by his brother Charles Hayes. Survivors include his wife, Doris Hayes; daughters and son-in-laws, Glenda/Jeri and Larry Cline and Becky and Michael Phillips all of Cartersville, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Kathy Sanders of Ballground, GA; brother, Don Hayes of Kansas; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 27, 2013 from Sutallee Baptist Church in Canton, GA with the Rev. Billy Edmondson officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.

Serving as pallbearers will be Taylor Phillips, Stephan Moll, Jeff Sanders, Jessie Sanders, Phillip Sanders, Harry Crist, Tommy Lacy and Tony Stalnaker.

The family will receive friends 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at Owen Funeral Home.
