He was born on November 9, 1949 in Tupelo, Mississippi to the late Gocher and Eloise Sparks Morrow. Ron is also preceded in death by his son, Eric Allen Morrow.
Ron is survived by his wife, Terrie Cook Morrow; brothers, Joel Morrow of Robert, LA and Phillip Morrow of Marietta, MS; step-son, Jay Paul and family; as well as cousins, nieces & nephews.
Ron grew up in Orlando, FL on a dairy farm that his dad managed. His family moved to Laurel, MS when Ron was 17 where he graduated high school. He then graduated from The University of Southern Mississippi School of Nursing located in Hattiesburg, MS. Upon graduation in 1974, he was commissioned into the U.S. Army Nurse Corps as a First Lieutenant.
While in the Army Nurse Corps, Ron participated in the U.S. Army Graduate Program and became a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. After his 19-year career and having served during the Vietnam War, he retired with the rank of Major.
After retirement he moved to Rome, GA.
In Rome, Ron worked for a private anesthesia practice that served the Floyd County Hospital and Redmond Regional Hospital. Later, he moved to Cartersville, GA after accepting a job with WellPoint Healthcare in Smyrna, GA. Following his retirement from the private sector, he contracted and worked as a Medical Case Manager for the Federal Government.
Ron was of the Methodist Faith. He was a true patriot. He loved fishing, cooking, and anything to do with nature. Most of all, he loved his family, and friends.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024 beginning at 12pm with a Celebration of Life Service at 1pm at Owen Funeral Home.
