Robert Lester Hyde

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Geraldine Hyde; brothers, Jimmy Hyde, Charles Hyde; sister-in-law Estelle Hyde. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Ann Barrett Hyde; children, Matthew (Jennifer) Hyde, Rebecca (Wesley) Morris; grandchildren, Ansley (Clay) Burt, Katie Hyde, Kaleb Hyde, Emily Morris, Elijah Morris, Silas Morris, Luke Morris; great-granddaughter, Lainey Clay Burt; sisters and brother-in laws, Jackie Hyde, Paul (Patsy) Barrett, Harold Barrett; a host of nieces and nephews.

Robert was a member of Rowland Springs Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He served his country in the United States Navy from 1971 until 1974. He enjoyed spending time with family, camping and traveling.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 09, 2023 at Rowland Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Ringwalt, Rev. Wesley Morris and Rev. Steve Hicks officiating. The interment will follow in the church cemetery with Kaleb Hyde, Elijah Morris, Silas Morris, Clay Burt, Kevin Hyde, Jerome Poole, Larry Dixon and Mike Samuelson serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 08, 2023 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Owen Funeral Home.
