My condolences to the Crawfords. Richard was my aunt's husband. Sadly, we didn't get to see each other often, and not since his injury, but my memories of him will always be positive. Richard was always easy to get along with and I never saw him act unkind to anyone. As I told Robbie, I hope that he had peace during his final days.

It was traumatizing to see Mr. Richard die. I was so attached to his wife Mrs. Robbie Crawford, their Sons Jeremy, Dale, and grandkids.

Mr. Richard was a God fearing man who spent his life, quietly, reading the Bible, listening to gospel music and watching his favorite team the dawgs.

I had great moments with him llistening to his favorite song  ‘Way Maker, and mercy me! 
We also had horrible moments while he was depressed …, his wife could be there to motivate him with a favorite take out meal that made him leave his bed.

Mr. Richard taught me to pray, meditate and forgive those who hurt me inorder to enter the kingdom of God.

He enjoyed watching movies with his wife, seeing his grandkids visit him could light him up.

I will remember him as a brother, a friend and  Peacemaker.  I know he is with his God because that is what he always wished for!

To the Crawford family; I pray that God give you peace  and healing during this difficult moment. Dale and Jeremy, please take care of your mom who gave up a lot to support Mr. Richard till death did them apart!

We are deeply sorry for your loss. Richard was a great man with a kind heart and big spirit and we will remember him fondly. We wish we could have spent more time with him and that he could have officially met Jasper. Looking forward to spending time with you in the future. Until then, you are in our hearts and minds.

This photo was taken on March 9, 2013 mine and Richard's 12th wedding anniversary. Richard asked me to do the honor of marrying him again, this time in church surrounded by all of our love ones. We were originally married in the courthouse in Chattanooga.  We set the wedding day for August 31, 2013. Unfortunately Richard had his accident on August 21st, 10 days before our wedding. I can't say I didn't question why this happened and the timing of it. I found my self asking that question many times over the next 9+ years and the only answer I come up with is only God knows. However that being said, Richard might know the answer now too. I love you Richard, now and forever. 

Unbeknown to us this would be our last trip out west in 2012. We took our granddaughter Nevaeh with us and hoped to take one grandchild each year until all of them had an opportunity to visit my sister and her family.  However, life doesn't always turn out the way we plan. Richard had his accident the following August in 2013. Don't put off those special moments with your loved ones, only God knows what the future holds. I love you Richard

The sunshine in Richard's day before and after his accident was his family.  His  grandchildren were truly the light of his life. Papaw they love you dearly and will never forget you.

Robbie and family, I am so sorry to hear of Richard’s passing.
We thought the world of Richard...and his mind very sharp.
 Just know our love and prayers will continue for all of you.
I know the journey has been hard and long; you being a twenty-four hour care giver.
The scripture tells us to be absent from the body is to be present with  theLord. 
It’s not goodbye, but goodnight. We will meet him again on that
eternal day.  He’s resting from all his labors.

I'm so sorry for your loss! It has been years since I had seen Robbie, Richard and the rest of the family in Georgia. 
I have been so busy with my own life that even my more local extended family has been neglected by me.

Robbie I am sorry for the loss of Richard. I do believe that as I am typing this Richard is running all over Heaven. He is free from his broken body. He is alive again.  The promise that the Lord gives us that we know we will see him again is such a gift.
