

The Reverend Jack Hamby Mansfield passed away on March 19, 2023 at the age of 91. Reverend Mansfield died unexpectedly on Sunday afternoon in his home with his wife, Bobbie Jean Ingram Mansfield by his side. Jack had just celebrated his 91st birthday on March 11th with his daughter Wendy; who shared the same birth date, and other family members.
Reverend Mansfield is survived by his wife; the love of his life, Bobbie Jean Ingram Mansfield as well as their three children Gwyn Ellen Mansfield Ellington, her husband Rory, Wendy Jo Mansfield Hodorff, her husband Jon and Jack Kevin Mansfield, his wife Rhonda. There are six grandchildren and three great grandchildren who will also be mourning the loss of a man who lived everyday of his life striving to be a strong Christian example for his family as well as every other person he came into contact with.
Reverend Mansfield graduated in 1951 from Cartersville High School where he played football. He remained a fan of the high school’s football program for his entire life, attending numerous games each season with his wife, Bobbie. After graduating high school Reverend Mansfield attended North Greenville Jr. College where he played football. Jack continued his education at Mercer University where he received his bachelor's degree. He then began to pursue his call from God to become a minister by studying at Southeastern Theological Seminary.
Reverend Mansfield spent his entire life pastoring churches and ministering selflessly to others. He moved through his life with integrity and an unquestionable love for his God, family, and mankind.
Funeral services for Reverend Mansfield will be held at Cartersville First Baptist Church on Friday, March 24th at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the Cartersville First Baptist Church Legacy Project. The Website for the donations is cartersvillefirst .com
