Born in Washington County Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Frank and Velma Williams Bradley.
Becky received her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Lee University and her master’s degree in gifted education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Following her retirement from education, Becky went into real estate where she quickly found success. She eventually became an award winning developer of multiple housing developments in Birmingham, Alabama. Becky was also an accomplished musician. Becky loved watching Alabama football, shopping, and gardening. Among Becky’s many roles, being a pastor’s wife was one of her favorite.
Surviving are her husband, Pastor Joe E. Edwards ; her son, Roger Clark (Patricia) of Birmingham, Alabama; daughter, Amy Harren of Austin, Texas; two sisters, Marnie Mitchell and Carol Harrup (Lowell) of Kansas City, Missouri; and five grandchildren, Tyler & Natalie Harren, Jaimie, Luke, & Becca Clark. Three bonus daughters, Pam Holt (John) of Jasper, Georgia, Shelia Looney (K. Ray) of Cartersville, Georgia, Donna Garland (Joel) of Cartersville, Georgia, six bonus grandchildren, Kimberly Daniels (Garrin), Jennifer Ezell (Mike), Brooke Morris (Josh), Candace Walden (Kirk), Ashley Penland (Brad), and Erica Smith (Trey) and fifteen bonus great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Edwards is preceded in death by her brother, William "Bill" Bradley and sister Hazel Bradley Welch.
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at five o'clock in the evening on Tuesday, the 26th of July, 2022 at Liberty Square Church with Pastor Joe E. Edwards officiating. Entombment will immediately follow in Providence Cemetery.
