Phyllis Cagle passed on October 19, 2017 after a long battle with illness. Her memorial service will be held Thursday October 26, 2017.
Mrs. Cagle was born on October 12, 1946 in Washington to Iva and Otis Butler. She was one of 10 children. She married John Cagle on May 2 1964 and they later had two children. They resided in Kennesaw, Georgia for the extent of their marriage of over 53 years. She was the grandmother of 4 and the great grandmother of 7. She spent her days loving on her friends and family.
Her family paid this tribute to her, “Phyllis was one of the kindest souls you would ever meet. She was always ready to help others, cook for a crowd, and forgive immediately. There was never a day that passed that she didn’t ask how everyone else was.. Her love for other people was that like no other.. She was cut from a different cloth and brought joy and pleasure to our lives. She will be sorely missed every single day.”
She is survived by her husband, John Cagle, their two children, John Cagle Jr. and Nina Strickland. Her grandchildren: Niki Cagle, Gray Cagle, Brittany Hawkins, Kendra Chastain – and their children.
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at one o’clock in the afternoon on Thursday, the 26th of October, 2017 at Fields Chapel United Methodist Church, 1331 Fields Chapel Rd., Canton, GA 30114. Interment will follow at two-thirty in the afternoon at the Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, GA.
In lieu of flowers any donations can be made to American Legion Post 111, P.O. Box 58, Dallas Ga, 30132 in memory of Phyllis Cagle.
