Paul was born on February 19, 1993 in Rome, GA, son of Tim Dougherty and Cherisse Davitte. He was named after his grandfathers, John Paul Dougherty and Lt. Col. Mitchell Citton Davitte.
Paul was raised in Woodstock, GA until 1994, when he and his family relocated to Naples, FL. He began playing ice hockey when he was 8 years old and played on the Junior Everglades Team where he made life-long friends. Paul attended Barron G. Collier High School and Toni & Guy Hairdressing Academy, where he received his degree in cosmetology. Paul enjoyed skateboarding and hockey and recently aired out his old hockey bag in anticipation of teaching his three year old son, Oliver, to play his favorite sport. He was a loving father, a beloved son and brother. He will always be remembered as a kind, helpful, loving, protective and compassionate friend to all.
Paul was preceded in death by his love, Krista Roden; grandmother, Elizabeth Lynn Davitte;
grandfather, John Paul Dougherty.Along with his parents, Paul is survived by his son, Oliver Theodore Dougherty; brother, Wayne "Trey" Turner III; sister, Lauren Renee Turner; grandmother, Janet Dougherty, of Cleveland, OH; niece, Keelie Turner.
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at four o'clock in the afternoon on Friday, the 23rd of September, 2016 in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Father Juan Anzora officiating.
