Michael Miller Jones

Michael is preceded in death by his father, O. L. Jones,

He is survived by his wife, Karis K. Jones; son, Mason Strickland Jones; step-daughters, Sarah Morneau, Maddie Morneau, Megan Morneau, all of whom he loved and adored; mother, Jo Jones; cousins, Diane Pike, Leigh Ann Dickson and Amy Lewis.

Mike lived an interesting life and enjoyed flying, fishing, cooking and helping others. He cherished his wife Karis and dearly loved spending time with family and friends. He graduated from Cartersville High School in 1990 and attended Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, GA. Mike was employed at Phoenix Air in Cartersville and spoke frequently and fondly of his job and his co-workers. He will be deeply missed by those that knew him best as he stayed in close contact with his many high school friends and acquaintances.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Thursdays, March 11, 2021 in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Lobello officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 11, 2021 from 12:30 pm until 2:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Etowah Valley Humane Society in Mike’s name as he loved dogs.
