Michael Dewayne Bridges

Mike was born on March 25, 1970, in Mobile, Alabama, son of Charles Bridges and Martha Madison Bridges.

Mike was an expert Millwright, and supported many local industries in the Bartow area. He was employed by P&W Quality Machines. Mike was a depended upon and trusted friend to many and dearly loved by his fiancé, Cheryl. He was an avid fisherman, and spent most weekends on the lake.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Earl Bridges.

Survivors include his companion of 10 years Cheryl Thomas, of White; two step-children, Courtney and Devon Thomas, both of White, GA. Grandchildren Cayden Hicks, Braelynn Hicks, and Greyson Thomas. Sisters Barbara Black of Satsuma, AL; Delaine Ellison (Barry) of Jemison, AL; Kim Robbins (Scott) of Satsuma, AL and many nephews and nieces, and one special niece that he helped raise, Lana Farmer.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday, August 19, 2018, at 2:00 pm at Sutallee Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Edmondson officiating. Interment will follow at a later date in Saraland, AL where Mike will be laid to rest next to his beloved parents.

Donations can be made in memory of Mike to Kiwanis International or if ordering flowers, they will be accepted at the church and request Friday delivery at 895 Knox Bridge Hwy., White, GA 30184.
