Mary Lou McRay

She was born July 21, 1943 in Fulton County, a daughter of the late William Clarence Cantrell and Cemmilou Doris Ritchey Cantrell.

Mary Lou graduated from Berry College and received her master’s degree from Ga. State University. She taught at Cartersville High School for thirty years. She never met a stranger and loved talking to and meeting new people. Her heart was as big as Texas. She always put everybody else first. She loved her children and never stopped telling them all the way to the end. Her life, her drive, her love, her compassion will live on. She will be dearly missed as a mother, teacher and friend.

She is survived by her daughters, LuAnne and Bobby Vaughn of Aragon, MaryBeth and Matt Morris, of Cartersville, and son, Michael and his wife Kristi McRay, of Rydal, 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 till 6:00 P.M. Saturday, December 27, 2014.
