Mary Cornwell

Mrs. Cornwell was born on July 20, 1922 in Chula, GA, daughter of the late Ernest Leonward Kelley and Odessa Herndon Kelly Cameron.

Mrs. Cornwell retired from EZ Mills/Spring City Knitting after thirty years of dedicated service. She was a proud, active and also the oldest member of Pleasant Olive Baptist Church in Rydal.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Troy Edgar Cornwell; son, Ernest Franklin Kelley; brother and sister-in-law, Sidwell and Jan Kelley and sister and brother-in-law, Alton and Ruth Johnson.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Kelly and Elaine Cornwell, Alan and Vickie Cornwell, and Marty and Anne Cornwell; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; brother and sister-in-law, Landis and Joyce Cameron.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at two o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, May 30, 2015 in the Chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Stan Lester officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Olive Baptist Church Cemetery.

Serving as Pallbearers are grandsons, Marcus, Matthew, and Andrew Cornwell and nephews, Mike and Ron Johnson and Michael Scoggins.

Visitation will be held for two hours prior to service time on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at Owen Funeral Home.
