Mamie Elizabeth Worley

Mrs. Worley was born January 2, 1944 in Bartow County, the daughter of the late, Charlie and Mary Tidwell. She was a high school graduate of Taylorsville High School in 1961, was retired from Bartow County Transportation, where she was a secretary for thirty years and was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Jasper (Jack) Tidwell .

Surviving are her husband, Jerry Glenn Worley of Cartersville, to whom she was married 47 years, son and daughter in law, Perry and Sandra Worley of Bowling Green, Kentucky, son and daughter in law, Scott and Rhonda Worley of Acworth, grandchildren, Megan, Zack, Drake and Garrett Worley, Justin and Jennifer Escue and Dakota Martin, brother and sister in law, Gordon and Joan Tidwell of Cartersville, sisters and brothers in law, Cliffie Owens, Ella Sanson, Frances Tidwell, Reba and Marvin Cordell, all of Cartersville, Ann and Gordon Hinton of Savannah, Tennessee, sister in law, Patsy Tidwell of Cartersville, and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held, Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Clinton Green and Rev. Doug Harris officiating.

Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday afternoon and evening from 4:00-8:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Lee and Parker Tidwell, Christopher Collum, Anthony and Jonathan Hinton and

Daniel Morris.
