Mrs. Tibbetts was born August 29, 1916 in Rhea, Tennessee, a daughter of the late Gole L. Robbins and Nancy Russell Robbins.
She was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church and a homemaker. Mrs. Tibbetts was a former member of the Cloverleaf Homemakers Club and past president of the Bartow County Homemakers Council. She was a gifted seamstress, used to judge at county fairs and was an avid Atlanta Braves and University of Tennessee Women’s basketball fan.
Preceded in death by her daughter, Judi Barnes and her husband, C.J. Tibbetts, survivors include her son and daughter in law, Jerry and Patsy Smith Tibbetts, of Cartersville and her daughter and son in law, Dotty Keever Dysart and Jim Dysart, of Dallas, her grandchildren and their children, Doug and Teresa Tibbetts, Greg and Janice Tibbetts, Jeff and Kim Tibbetts, Michael Tibbetts, Adam Tibbetts, Aaron Tibbetts, Tyler Baugh, Erin Baugh, Cassie Tibbetts, special granddaughter, Nikke Booth, Don Keever, Jr. and Michelle Keever and their children Craig, Nikki, Jesse, Suni, Star, Breanna, and Nicole, Lynn Elizabeth Dysart and her children, Case and Amanda Deering, Frances Eileen Taylor and her children, Kevin, Brennan, Kelly, James and Jo, Wes Dysart, Mary Lou and Greg Albaugh and their children, Brock and Hayes and one great grandson, Tungsten Tibbetts, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, May 6, 2012 from the Chapel of the Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Herschel Tibbetts officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Don Keever, Wes Dysart, Casey Deering, Craig Keever, Doug Tibbetts, Jeff Tibbetts and Greg Tibbetts.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 till 8:00 P.M. Saturday.
