Loretta Frances Bailey

Loretta (Thomas) Bailey, age 79, of Cartersville, GA, passed away early Thursday morning, February 22, 2024. Loretta was born in Copperhill, TN on April 4, 1944 daughter of the late Eulah and Howard Thomas.

Loretta was a home maker and pastors’ wife. She loved teaching and sharing the gospel to anyone that would listen. She loved to cook and could whip up a meal in a moment’s notice. Gardening, shopping, sending cards/letters and spending time with her family and friends were also important to her. She enjoyed reading books and having quiet days in her reading room. She was preceded in death by her brother Leland Thomas and sisters Joann Chapman and Charlotte Bailey and parents.

Survivors include her loving husband of 62 years Jack Bailey; son and daughter-n-law, Scott and Julie Bailey; daughter and son-n-law, Janet and Vaughn Ingram; grandchildren, Kisha Rowland(Rodney), Brett Bailey (Ashley), Ashley Gayton (Jerry), Morgan Bailey (Dakota Williams (fiancé); great grandchildren, Ansley Self, Savannah Rowland, Noah Rowland, Kamdyn Rowland, Alex Newman, Benton Bailey, Banks Bailey; sisters, Janis Estes and Vicky Ensley; brother, Brian Thomas; many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be conducted on Sunday, February 25, 2024 at four o’clock in the evening at Liberty Square Church. Scott Webb and Andrew Hight will be officiating the service. Music will be provided by her nieces and nephew singing her special songs.

Friends and family are cordially invited to a visitation prior to the service on Sunday, February 25, 2024 from 1:30pm until 4:00pm at Liberty Square Church.
