Lawrence Alvah Martin

Mr. Martin was born on November 4, 1939 in Warwick, NY, son of the late Alva D. Martin and Myrtle Horsfield Martin.

Mr. Martin proudly served his country in the United States Air Force until retirement. He also retired from Anheuser-Bush after twenty years of dedicated employment. He was a long time member of the Cartersville American Legion. In his spare time he enjoyed working in his yard and tending to his flower gardens. He was also an avid baseball and softball fan and always rooted for the Michigan Softball team. He and his loving wife of fifty-seven years, Audrey Martin loved to travel the United States in their RV. He is already so greatly missed, but will never be forgotten.

Mr. Martin is survived by his wife, Audrey Martin; son, Lawrence “Keith” (Maggie) Martin; daughter, Debra “Renee” Clark (Jon) Ludwig; grandchildren, Michael Caamal, Jennifer Caamal, Amber Martin, Dayna Grams, Brian Martin, Lucas Ludwig and Cassie Roemer.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at eleven o’clock in the morning on Monday, the 15th of January, 2018 in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Zwemke officiating. Interment will take place at a later date in Sunset Memory Gardens.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family for one hour prior to service time at Owen Funeral Home.
