Kenny is preceded in death by his children, Jolene Smith, Wesley Mulkey; parents, Joseph and Mildred Smith; sister, Jean Chastain. He is survived by his wife, Linda Marie Smith; children, Connie Fain, Nicole Lemacks, Tony Mulkey, Tereasa Mulkey, Leslie Smith, Kenni Lynn Smith, Savannah (granddaughter but like a daughter; grandchildren, Kayleigh, Lacy, Kristopher, Justin, Brett, Ashlyn, Rebecca, Daniela, Addie, JJ, Brianna, Bryan, Hayden, Mikey ,Crystal, Tim, Brandon, Trace, Anslie, Emma, Titus, Dylan; eighteen great grandchildren, sister Brenda Williams.
Kenny was a veteran in the United States Army. He retired from B & B Janitorial in 2013 and was also a rock mason. Kenny was an award winning musician, 2006 country hall of fame and traditional country band of the year 2006. He received the American Society of Music lifetime achievement award. He played in the Junior Samples Road Band from Hee Haw in the 1980 era.
Kenny gave his heart to the Lord in 2015. He and his wife Linda makes their church home and direct the music at Millers Chapel Full Gospel Church in White, GA. Kenny loved his children, grandchildren and church family. He loved to bring laughter to any and all around him. Kenny’s life was being one with his wife Linda, and they sang together for many years. He loved doing custom paint and body work on cars. In the past years he spent his time doing leather work and building custom guitars.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Friday, March 15, 2024 in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Josh James officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 15, 2024 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm.
