Julia loved knitting, reading, and playing bridge with her friends. She also loved spending time on the computer – she was known to message her grandchildren on AOL and write her letters in Word Perfect long before many of her contemporaries. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Sweeney, Sr., son Mark Vernon Sweeney, daughter-in-law Rene’ Sweeney, brother John Bail, and sister-in-law Patricia Bail.
