

Joyce Morris, age 82, of Cartersville, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 23, 2025. Born on November 8, 1942, in Cartersville, Georgia, to Roy and Mamie Lou Eaves, Joyce's life was filled with love, service, and devotion to her family and community.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Mamie Lou Eaves, and her beloved husband, Willard “Bill” Morris. She leaves behind a legacy of love and memories cherished by her daughters, Connie Howren Stewart (Steve) and Casey Howren Taylor (Rodney), and her son, Derrick Eaves Howren (Jennifer). Joyce was a proud grandmother to her grandchildren: Elliott Stewart (Hannah), Erynn DeGraff (Michael), Cassidy Adams (Kyle), Landon Howren (Lauren), Parker Roberson, Elle Roberson, and Carlee Taylor. She was also the joyful great-grandmother of Lottie, Millie and Wilson Stewart, Evan and Edyn DeGraff, Mox and Major Adams and Bobbie Grace Howren. Joyce is also survived by her special friend, Billy Smith, and numerous extended family and friends.
A dedicated floral designer for 30 years at Main Attractions Floral Shop, Joyce brought beauty and joy to everyone she met. She was a member of Sam Jones Methodist Church, a passionate volunteer with the American Red Cross, and a proud member of the Elks Lodge. Known for her vibrant personality, Joyce was the life of the party, always putting family and loved ones first. Her love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren will never be forgotten.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association, an organization close to Joyce's heart.
A memorial service to celebrate Joyce’s life will be scheduled at a later date. Her family takes comfort in knowing that her spirit will continue to shine through the lives she touched.
Joyce will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her kindness, generosity, and love of life.
