Joel Benjamin Parris, age 82 of Cartersville, GA passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2022. He was born in Copperhill, TN on July 7, 1940 to the late Avery Parris and Jessie Mae Hickey Parris.
Ben is preceded in death by his sisters, Jo Ann Opp, Jacqueline McLaughlin; brothers, Samuel Parris and John Parris. He is survived by his son, Benjamin C. Parris, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
He retired from a career with the federal government and later practiced law in Cartersville for almost three decades. During that time, he worked tirelessly in service to others and enjoyed helping those in need.
A Graveside Service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Friday, September 9, 2022 at Sunset Memory Gardens.
