Jimmy was born in Alta, WV on August 6th, 1947. He was a graduate of Gauley Bridge High School and served two years in the US Army as a combat medic. After his service he settled in Georgia where he worked for a bank then later built a career as a HVAC technician. Jimmy worked hard his entire life, sometimes seven days a week with no complaints. He was also known for his kind heart and willingness to help in any situation. In retirement he moved back to his hometown of Alta, WV where he lived out his days caring for the family cemetery.
He is proceeded in death by his parents Leslie Ray and Pearl Isabelle McIntyre, along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his daughters Kelly Dorsett of Dallas, GA, Briggette (Randy Sr.) Moore of Villa Rica, GA, and Kayla (Eric) Burton of Tornado, WV; grandchildren David (Mara) Dorsett and Anthony Dorsett of Kingston, GA, Eric (Jamie) Moore of Winston, GA, Randy Moore Jr. and Bryan (Dana) Moore of Carrollton, GA, Brittany (Caleb) Irons of Temple GA, Nathaniel Wallace-Burton, Leighanna Wallace-Burton, Elizabeth Burton, and Alexandra Burton of Tornado, WV; brothers Ray McIntyre of Bowling Green, OH, Richard (Sue) McIntyre of Akron, OH, and Willard McIntyre of Augusta, GA; former spouse and lifelong friend Peggy Blankenship of Dallas, GA; 10 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends in his hometown of Alta, WV.
A Memorial Service will be held 6pm on Saturday December 22nd at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Acworth, GA. The family will also hold a graveside service on a later date at Dickinson Cemetery in Alta, WV.
