Jerry Mitchell Hardin

In 1968, he began his career in the U.F.C.W. Local 1996 as a business agent. From 1983 - 1998 he was the President of the U.F.C.W. Local 1996. Jerry had incredible work ethics and thoroughly enjoyed his position. His son and namesake followed Jerry's footsteps and worked for the same company as well.

Jerry was very outgoing and people always wanted to be around him. He always put a smile on everyone's face with his sense of humor. In his spare time, he thoroughly enjoyed spending quality time with his family. He was a member of the Kennesaw Masonic Lodge #33 and a Shriner.

Along with his parents, Jerry is preceded in death by his son, Jerry Mitchell Hardin Jr.; brothers, Rex Hardin, Don Hardin and Robin Hardin.

He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-two years, Linda Hardin; daughter. Carol (Warren) Ledford; brother, Jack (Faith) Hardin; grandchildren, Tricia Hardin, Celia McGeehan and Jerry Mitchell Hardin III; and many loving extended family member and friends to cherish his memory.

A graveside service to honor Mr. Jerry Mitchell Hardin Sr. will be held on Sunday, August 8, 2021, ten o'clock in the morning, at Sunset Memory Gardens, Cartersville, Georgia.
