He was born in Bartow County, the son of the late, Rance Charles and Effie Montine (Shaw) Siniard. Mr. Siniard proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church where he served as an usher and was an active Life Group member. He was employed by the City of Cartersville Fire Department in 1993 and retired as Battalion Chief.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife, Patty S. Siniard, two sisters, Mary Cheatham and Louise Barnette and two brothers, Bascomb Siniard and Marvin Siniard.
Surviving is his son Hugh Siniard and Tonya Wood of Cartersville, grandchildren, Davis Siniard of Cartersville, Lydia Siniard and her fiancé, Josh Turner of Oxford, Mississippi and their mother, Lisa Siniard, sisters, Jeannette Woodall of Cartersville, brothers in law, Herman Jenkins of Marietta, Bill and Irma Cheatham, sister in law, Geneva Cline of Cartersville and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 18, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 5:00-8:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Charles Siniard, Jerry Milam, Mike Scoggins, Leonard Thomas, Wayne Turner and Alton Costlow.
Members of the City of Cartersville Fire Department will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to The Rick Mason and Perry Goad Missions Fund at Tabernacle Church or the Bread of Life at Tabernacle Church.
Owen Funeral Home, 12 Collins Drive, Cartersville, Georgia is in charge of the arrangements.
