Howard Ellis Duvall

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved husband and father, Howard Ellis Duvall, on Sunday, September 1, 2024 at the age of 80. He was a man of integrity, a hard worker, and a dedicated family man.

Ellis was born to Jim and Lois Duvall on October 31, 1943 in Rome, GA. He married the love of his life, Joyce Chapman, March 9, 1963. They raised four beautiful daughters with whom he shared his joy of hunting, fishing, bowling, and gardening. Ellis retired after a long career with Lockheed Martin in 2006. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.

Ellis is preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Lois Duvall: his sisters: Alma Hubbard; Hazel Shirley; Margaret Duvall: and brother: Jimmy Duvall. He is survived by his wife: Joyce Duvall: four daughters: Sherry (Kevin) Weber; Rhonda (Michael) Elzey; Amy (Tom) Ransom; Jill Roberts: nine grandchildren: Jacob Caldwell; Lacey May; Maleah Garcia; Rachel Ransom; Kyle Ransom; Steven Roberts; Isabel Roberts; Michael Elzey Jr.; Marcus Elzey: and seven great-grandchildren.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 6:00PM until 8:00PM on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at Owen Funeral Home located at 12 Collins Drive Cartersville GA 30120. A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted Thursday, September 5, 2024 at 1:00PM in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. David Baker officiating. The interment will follow at Cassville Cemetery with Jacob Caldwell; Kyle Ransom; Steven Roberts; Nick May; Jarrod Roberts; and Daryl Blankinship serving as pallbearers.
