

Helen is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Carson; parents, Howard and Eldie Silvers; brothers, Travis Silvers, Jerry Silvers and Roy Silvers. She is survived by her sons, Steven (Beverly) King, Tim (Connie) King; preceded in death by Jimmy King; grandchildren, Susan McDaniel, Scott Anthony McDaniel, Tabrina Wimpy (Greg), Timara Williams (TeeJay), Anna Marie King, Micah King; fourteen great-grandchildren; sister, Mae Silvers; brothers, Larry (Barbara) Silvers, Harold (Sharon) Silvers, George Silvers; sisters-in-law, Joyce Silvers, Betty Silvers, Mary Silvers; several nieces and nephews.
Helen was a longtime member of The Salvation Army Corps in Cartersville, Georgia. She was active in the Women’s ministries, youth activities, and taught Sunday School. Helen loved to serve the Lord and loved her church family.
Helen was employed by Dan River and Lewis Carpet Manufacturing for many years. Later in her life, she attended Cosmetology school and fulfilled her dream of becoming a beautician. Helen lived a life full of laughter and love, she loved God, her family and friends, Jalapeno Cheetos, Bluegrass music, Old western movies and her flowers. We rejoice because Helen is with her Lord and Savior and her legacy will live on through memories and her family and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 5, 2025 in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Captain Kellie Cantrell officiating. The interment officiated by Major Doug and Storm McClure will follow at Cassville Cemetery in Cartersville. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
