Guy Harold Garrison

It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of our husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. Guy Harold Garrison, 86, passed away at home on February 6, 2023. He was born in Stilesboro, Georgia on October 10, 1936. He was the son of James Morgan Garrison and Ellen Cochran Garrison. He was preceded in death by his brothers James, Jack and Garland and his sisters Thelma Stevenson and Nancy Garrison.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Judy Garrison. His sons Ken Garrison and Barry Garrison and his wife Rebecca. Granchildren Morgan and Destynee and their children Paisleigh and Wyatt. Madison Garrison and Dakota Hughes. Abry Garrison. A special niece that he raised and loved as his own grandchild, Misti Nettles and her family, Cody, Comari and Treasure. Stephanie and Sonny Chartier. Kayla and Dakotah Pirkle, their children Kaiden, Sis, Joe and Karolinah. Curtis and Mary Reeves, their children Turner Man, Thea and Maya. His brother Larry and Vicky Garrison and sister Teena Floyd. Many loved Nieces and nephews.

He was a hard worker and retired from the State DOT. Throughout his life he was an avid hunter and especially enjoyed his beagles. He loved everything that involved his grandchildren. He was so proud to become a great grandfather and looked so forward to watching them grow up.

He was of the Baptist faith and a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Owen Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at a future date with his ashes being interned at Floyd Creek Church cemetery.
