He was most of all an automobile mechanic working from 1946 to 1960 for Petit and Jenkins Chrysler Plymouth who could just listen to a running car and know what was wrong and fix it, he was an expert body man. After his wife Mary died he married his beloved wife Doris and worked for the City of Cartersville in Public Works Greenhouse until he retired. He was a carver and builder of precious things just to give away. George loved working with his hands and loving those near him with all of his heart. He was a nurturer of plants and people, a gentle loving soul who was a caring praying man always praying for those who were sick and afflicted. He was a faithful member of Zion Hill Baptist Church.
