Coach Hall was born on December 13, 1945 in West Palm Beach, FL, son of the late Howard Lewis Hall, Sr. and Katherine Virginia Hall.
Coach Hall was the cornerstone and backbone of the Okeeheelee Baseball Program in West Palm Beach, FL, where he served as a board member, president, coach, and the face of the little league program for close to forty years. He was also the District VII Little Major League Commissioner for several years. During his coaching career, he achieved thirty-six league championships and numerous district and state titles. The highlight of his coaching career was leading his team to the 1998 Cal Ripken World Series Championship. Coach Hall did not only teach fundamentals, but he taught his players respect, discipline, and character. As one of his players once said, “I never played for a manager or coach who was more committed to building my character. He was not only a coach but also a father figure to many.
He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. His true pride and joy was spending quality time with his loving wife of fifty-seven years, his daughters and especially his grandsons. He enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves, Miami Hurricanes, and the Alabama Crimson Tide with his family. (or any sport that was on TV)
He is preceded in death by his brothers Howard Hall Jr., Richard Hall, and Bill Hall and his sister Katherine (Hall) Robinson.
He is survived by his wife Nell Hall; daughters Tammy Bottegal (Anthony), Tracy Hall (Joey) and Michele Hall; grandsons Bryce Bottegal, Blakely Bottegal, Zachary Hall, and Ethan Hall. His surviving siblings include brother Grady Hall and sisters Joyce Kisker (Jack), Wanda Isenberg (Donald), Glenda Kimball and Betty Hall and a host of nieces and nephews.
