Earnest Michael Williams

Earnest "Michael" (Mike) Williams age 61, of Cartersville, GA passed away on September 5, 2020. Mike was born in Cartersville, GA on November 13, 1959 to Mrs. Barbara Wigington Williams and the late Mr. Earnest Grayson Williams.

Mike loved to playing golf, watching the Atlanta Falcons and the Georgia Bulldogs. (GO DAWGS!). He served in the United States Marines from 1972 until 1980. Mike worked at Swheat Market in Cartersville, GA for ten years. He loved and was loved by so many friends and family., especially Amanda, Kayla, Annette, Cookie, Theresa and Daniel.

Mike is preceded in death by his father, maternal grandparents; Charlie Michael and Velma Marie Wigington, paternal grandparents; Wade and Nina Williams, aunt and uncle, Betty and Lee Wallin and, brother-in-law, Billy Cannon.

He is survived by his two daughters; Mariah Williams, of Mobile, AL, and Tiffany (Damyan) Lundholm of Fort Oglethorpe, GA, two sons; Christian and Isiah Williams both of Mobile. AL, mother, Barbara Williams, sisters; Sandy Cannon, and Debra Mason Greene all of Cartersville, GA, sister, Sharon (Charles) Scoggins of Rome, GA, and brother, Darryl Williams of Orlando, FL, and cousins; Diane Henson, Robin (Keith) Wright, and Gary Lee Wallin all of Cartersville, GA. Many nieces and nephews also survive to cherish Mike's memory.

A public Celebration of Mike's Life will be conducted at Owen Funeral Home Chapel, Cartersville at one o'clock in the afternoon on Friday, September 18, 2020.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family for one hour prior to service time at Owen Funeral Home.

A private graveside service is scheduled after the service at Georgia National Cemetery with Military Honors rendered.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to The American Cancer Society.
