Zippy, our friendship began in 2000. We both worked at Andiamo, we became fast friends and you me mike and nick along with a host of other characters had a ton of fun on wayburn. Your laugh was infectious and your drive to be something/anything great was obvious to all of us. We lost contact around 2003 and found each other again when you started working in Atlanta.  I was so happy that you were making a name for yourself as a chef.  We talk a few times on Facebook and I hoped to get down there to visit. But it seems life had other plans.  I will always remember you as a great friend and someone who I shared many laughs with. I hope you are at peace my brother. I love you and will see you on the other side.

Aunt Joyce, we are so deeply sorry to hear about Duane.  My heart broke when I heard the news.  I feel at a loss for words and don’t know exactly what to say,  but I want you to know that I am with you in thought and keeping you in my prayers.  We are here for you if you need anything.

So many feelings and emotions at this time of grief..Duane you were truly one of a kind and will be deeply missed..I grew up with you at times imitating your style or music selections..No matter what you had going on in life your personality didn't show, you took it in stride..That infectious smile and laugh would instantly bring joyfulness to others.. Many heavy hearts at this time and to my Aunt Joyce and Cousin Michelle they know the rollercoasters and never wanted to let you fall..I'm truly saddened for you and can't imagine the hurt.   Find peace in the lord our savior who has arms opened wide for comfort and healing..

Duane Zippy, CUZ.. The last time we were in contact with each other you asked me to help you HUNT DOWN some family members for a Reunion you were trying to organize.  Left me your number to give you a shout. We never talked about that reunion,  we did talk about your new job, how much you loved it and all the cool new recipes you were coming up with just out of your head. I promised to visit and try your masterpieces. That never happened but I think we are going to have that reunion you so wanted to organize. I wish I would have taken that trip to Georgia.... XOXO
