Donald Wade

Mr. Wade was born May 2, 1970, in Bartow County, the son of Marylee Hubbard Wade and the late James Wade. He was a loving husband and best friend to his wife Stacey and was a wonderful, loving father, grandfather, son and brother and a friend to all who knew him. He always had a smile on his face, was fun and outgoing and always ready to give a helping hand to anyone in need. He loved the outdoors, working in the garden and was an avid jogger. He cherished his new grandbaby, Lydia, who knew him as pepaw. He was always known to say "you know who loves you baby, Jesus and me."

Donald was a member of Creekside Fellowship Church and was the church guitarist.

Surviving are his wife, Stacey Long Wade of Cartersville; children, Jeffery and Brianne Wade of Cartersville, Austin Long of Cartersville, Josh Long of Summerville; grandchildren, Lydia Belle Wade; his mother, Marylee Wade of Cartersville; sisters, Doris Wade and Belinda Cox, both of Cartersville; Godsister, Ginger Presnell; spiritual mother and father, Sally and Henry Jones; nieces and nephews, Billy Jack and Julia Heinzer, Jessica Cox; and a number of very special aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Abernathy, Rev. Henry Jones and Rev. Burch Fannin officiating. Burial will follow in Wade Chapel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 4 to 8 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Danny Williams, Shane Martin, Eddie Davenport, Scotty Brock and Derrek Bailey. Honorary pallbearers will be James McDonald and Blake Fannin.
