Charles Williams

Charles "Charlie" M. Williams, 84, of Taylorsville, GA passed away Sunday, October 4, 2020, surrounded by his loving family. Charlie was born in Taylorsville, GA to the late Mr. Marcus A. Williams and Mrs. Anna Lee Chitwood on August 3, 1936.

Charlie was an avid outdoorsman. He loved being busy, whether it was at work, gardening, tinkering with old cars. Charlie retired from Chemical Products after over twenty years of service. He was a member of Bethel Crossroads Baptist Church for many years. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Charlie is preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Iona Dean Williams and his parents, and son-in-law, Timothy Baxter. Several siblings also precede him in death.

He is survived by his children; Don Williams, Calvin (Shay) Williams, and Belinda Baxter. Many grandchildren, great grandchildren and siblings also survive to cherish his memory.

A Celebration of Charlie's life will be conducted in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at 1:30 in the afternoon with the Rev. Charles Garrett officiating. Interment will follow the service in Bethel Crossroads Cemetery, Taylorsville, GA.

The family will receive friends at Owen Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 from eleven thirty in the morning until the service hour.
