Charles Dean Dean Holt

Charles Dean Holt, 72, of Cartersville, died Tuesday, November 30, 2010. Mr. Holt was born April 17, 1938 in Cherokee County, a son of the late W.D. Holt and Marie Hill Holt. He was a member of the Center Baptist Church and was a retired supervisor at Flex-Pak Printers in Alpharetta. Dean love antique cars and loved to work. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Mary Yvonne (Bonnie) Greenway Holt, and is survived by his son, Brian Dean Holt and his companion, Lavonda Fowler, of Adairsville, his sister, Joan Holt Wilson, of Cartersville, special brother and sister in law, Dean and Lanelle Lewis, special sister and brother in law, Sherry Jennings Takas and John Takas, brother and sister in law, Charles and Myrtice Greenway, and a number of nieces, nephews, and loving friends. Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Thursday, December 2, 2010 from the Chapel of the Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Greenway and Rev. Dewey Atchely officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunset Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Larry Smith, Jerry Huskins, Doug Dupree, Michael McDaniel, Charles Greenway and Shawn Greenway. Honorary pallbearers will be Herbert Pruitt, Jack Garrison, Clayton Collins and Sammy Goble. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 till 7:00 P.M. Wednesday. Owen Funeral Home, 12 Collins Drive, Cartersville, is in charge of the arrangements.
