Charles Cline Jr. known as Pop to all who knew and loved him, age 79, passed away on April 23, 2021 in Cartersville, Georgia. Charles was born on July 25, 1941 in Cartersville, Georgia to the late Charlie Thomas Cline and Melissa Lois Chitwood.
Charles was a man of many talents. Throughout his entire life, he built many houses and company buildings. He helped build sky scrapers in Atlanta then assisted in many homes within Bartow County for over fifty years. He was the patriarch of the family and loved every moment he spent with them. His grandchildren and great grandchildren were his pride and joy. Charles cherished the times he spent with them raccoon hunting, loafing and teaching them his ways.
Charles had a big heart and was a very loving man. He was very giving and would do anything for anyone who was in need. He was perfect in everything he did. He spent thirty-two years together with Mrs. Elise Graham before her passing in 1992. He married Ann Cline and they spent the next twenty-nine years together before his passing. Charles Cline Jr. was an incredible man who left an amazing legacy. He will truly be missed by many.
Along with his parents, Charles is preceded in death by son, Michael Cagle; brothers, Larry (Donna) Cline and Max Cline; and brother-in-law, Wornie Bennett; and sister, Ann McCoy.
He is survived by wife, Ann Cline; daughters, Donna (Chris) Simpson, Cheryl (Tim) Duvall and Beth Brown; brother, Don (Betty) Cline and Bobby (Neva) Cline; sisters, Carolyn Cline Bennett; Patricia (Mike) McPherson, Mary Jo (Don) McPherson, and Debrah Lee; grandchildren, Erika (Dusty) Brock, Damon (Kayla) Simpson, Tyler (Christie) Duvall, Ansley (Ben) Moore, Zach (Amanda) Brown, and Haleigh (Mason) Bennett; great grandchildren, Hadley Elise Brock, Landon McSwain, Joel McSwain, Cullen Duvall, Aubree Elise Moore, Blair Katelyn Moore, Laila Brown, Rylee Jo Brown, Woods Bennett, and Ridge Bennett and many loving extended family members and friends to cherish his memory.
A graveside service to honor Mr. Charles Cline Jr. will be held on Monday, April 26, 2021 at Center Baptist Church Cemetery at two o’clock in the afternoon.
