Cathy Lynn Popham

Cathy Lynn Cornwell Popham, age 63, passed away on June 3, 2021, at her home in Cartersville, Georgia. She was born on May 29, 1958 in Rome, Georgia to the late Donald Eugene Cornwell and Peggy (Elrod) Cornwell.

Cathy was a free spirit. She always enjoyed the finer things in life. She had a passion to upkeep her many flowers in her gardens as well as traveling. Cathy loved to be outdoors and spending time in the mountains.

Cathy is survived by her loving husband of forty-four years, Jimmy Popham, Sr.; son, Jimmy Popham Jr. (Kim); grandchildren, Trey Popham and Katie Popham; Sister-in-law, Darlene (Vic) Woodall; companion dog, Bailey; and many loving extended family members and friends to cherish her memory.

A funeral service to honor Mrs. Cathy Popham will be held on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at eleven o’clock in the morning, at Owen Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for visitation Monday, June 7, 2021 between the hours of five and eight o’clock in the evening. She will be laid to rest immediately following the service at Pine Log United Methodist Church Cemetery.
