What we have lost, heaven has gained. Allen Martin was a generous, loving, and devoted husband, father, brother, son, and friend. Allen cared genuinely for the people around him. To know him made life a bit easier. He will desperately be missed, but we know that we will see him again.
Allen was born in Cartersville on 3/29/69 and was a graduate of Cass High School (Class of 1987) and also attended the University of Tennessee. He was a jack-of-all-trades who could fix anything, enjoyed cooking, reading, and was an avid car enthusiast.
Allen is survived by his parents, Bruce and Donna Martin, his wife and best friend, Barbara Martin and his children, Camron Martin, Austin Stone, Caitlin (JC) Guyton, and Evan Martin. He will be remembered fondly also by his brothers Jeff (and nieces Bree and Jordan), Jamie (Lindsay and nieces Guinevere and Nora), and Jody (Karen). Other family include father and mother-in-law Bill and Sandy Hogan and sister-in-law and family Tina and Mark Eister (nieces Rachael (Eric) Jamerson, Amelia (Chris) Eister, Kasey Eister, and nephew MJ (Hannah) Eister).
Please rejoice with us in the memories that we all hold dear of Allen on Sunday, September 6 at Owen Funeral Home located at 12 Collins Drive, Cartersville, GA. Visitation will be held between 12 and 2 p.m. and will be directly followed by the Service, presided by Richard Brown and Wallace Cochran.
