Bobby Burl Dye

Mr. Dye was born on October 13, 1936 in Atlanta, GA, son of the late Burl Dye and Beatrice Hight Dye.

Mr. Dye was a true and faithful servant of the Lord and a very proud and active long-time member of Cartersville Church of Christ. He was also a member of the Lions Club. In his spare time he enjoyed carpentry and watching football. His greatest joy was found in spending quality time with his family and especially his grandchildren.

Mr. Dye is preceded in death by his daughter, Terri Ross; a brother, George Dye.

Survivors include his loving wife of sixty-two years, Wanda Fletcher Dye; grandchildren, Sally Dooley, Burl (Brittany) Dye and Drew Williams; great-grandchildren, Wade Dooley, Hadley Dye, Maggie Dye, Madison Dooley and Alayna Dye; brother, Clayton (Anne) Dye; sister, Patricia Taff; several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at three o’clock in the afternoon on Tuesday, the 17th of September, 2019 at Cartersville Church of Christ with Cory Barnett and Bobby Gayton officiating.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family for one hour prior to service time at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in honor of Mr. Dye to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or a charity of your choice.
