Billy Wayne Ruff

A Native of Cartersville, he was born on May 18, 1946 to the late Jim and Evelyn Stephenson Ruff. He was also preceded in death by a brother, James Ruff. He was an active member of Fairview Baptist Church. He was retired from Cobb County Government in Marietta, Ga.

Survivors include his loving wife of 47 years, Linda Martin Ruff; his sons & daughters-in-law, Dewayne & Angie Ruff, Walter & Trisha Ruff all of Cartersville; grandchildren, Cami & Rhyne Abernathy, Brandon Ruff, Brianna Ruff, Madalyn Ruff, Katie Ruff, Brooke & Matt Mason, Brandi & Josh Walzer, Justin Zalonis; sisters, Betty Jo Evans of Cartersville, Nancy Ward of Commerce, Mary & George McGhee of Cartersville; brother-in-law, Johnny Martin; sister-in-law, Teresa Martin; many special nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon June 9th at 1:00 P.M. at Fairview Baptist Church with Rev. Alan Ledford, Rhyne Abernathy and Mark Harris officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday and Friday evenings from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Owen Funeral Home.

Pallbearers include H.C. Burnette, Charlie Waits, Mike Hughes, Phillip Stevenson, Tim Owens and Jerry Lanham. Honorary pallbearers will include the Young Male Members of Fairview Baptist Church.

Those desiring may make contributions to Fairview Baptist Church in lieu of flowers.
