Anthony currently worked for Georgia Power Plant Bowen and Many years at First Brand Corp. He loved the outdoors especially hunting and fishing. He was an avid softball player in the 80’s and early 90’s. Anthony loved his family and entertaining at his house.
Anthony is preceded in death by his father, Calvin McAlister; son, Adam McAlister. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Sharon Vernon McAlister; sons, Drew McAlister, Bruce (Ashley) Clayton; daughters, April (Christopher) Reed, Melissa (Darrin) Sloan; grandchildren, Rose, Alexis, Penny, Aubri, Emersyn; mother, Alma McAlister; brothers, Greg (Cassie) McAlister, Jeff (Jeannie) McAlister, Rodney (Rachel) McAlister; several nieces, nephews, cousins and beloved dog Paco.
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Fisher and Rev. Tony Lyle officiating. The Interment will follow at Floyd Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Taylorsville with Greg McAlister, Jeff McAlister, Rodney McAlister, Bruce Clayton, Darrin Sloan, Brandon McAlister and Chase Pinion serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
