

Anne was born June 10, 1934 in Cartersville. She was the daughter of Luther L. and Louise Wheeler Stewart. Anne was the oldest of five. Although she never had children of her own, she was a mother to many.
Anne graduated from Cass High School in 1951 where she was Miss Cass High School 1949. She was also the salutatorian of her graduating class. She went on to attend Carson Newman College where she was a leader on campus. She was on the May Day Court and the assistant editor of the school yearbook. She obtained a degree in Sociology in the spring of 1955. That fall she began her teaching career at Cass High School. After teaching there a short time, she moved to Acworth Elementary where she was a third grade teacher.
Shortly after graduating from Carson Newman, she married the love of her life, C.S. (Brother) Donahoo.They lived a life full of adventure, traveling all over the world. They remained married until his death in August of 2021. Anne live a Christ centered life including being the last living founding member of Friendship Baptist Church in Cartersville. After marrying Brother, they joined Tabernacle Baptist Church where they were faithful members and volunteers for the remainder of their lives.
Anne is preceded in death by her parents, Luke and Louise Stewart, her in-laws Clarence and Myrtle Donahoo, her sister and brother-in-law William O. and Peggy Bradford, her brother-in-law Larry Lanier, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Doris and Watson Coffey, and her beloved husband Brother.
She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Luther Paul (Buddy) and Peggy Stewart, brother and sister-in-law Robert T (Tommy) and Jeanette Stewart, and her sister Vicki Lanier. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
Her visitation will be held Friday, January 19th at 1:00 at Tabernacle Baptist Church. The funeral will follow at 3:00 with Patrick Latham officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robby Stewart, Coy Stewart, Chad Lanier, Corey Lanier, David Archer, and Tony Evans.

The family would also like to give a special thank you to her loving caregivers the last few years as well as the amazing staff and caregivers at Manor Lake who lovingly took care of her in her final months.
