Mrs. Wynn was born December 10, 1928 in Atlanta, Georgia, the daughter of the late Walter Robert and Lois Marion (Church) Gordon. She was co-founder of Richard Wynn Pontiac Buick Oldsmobile GMC in Cartersville and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard Earl Wynn, Sr.; sisters, Madge Hardy, Myrtice DeRuyscher, Elaine Pitner; brother, Robert Gordon; sister-in-law, Dolly Wynn Brooks; and brother-in-law, Joseph Dean Wynn, Jr.
Surviving include her daughter, Marion Wynn of Marietta; sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Janice Wynn, Rick and Kim Wynn, and Roger and Portia Wynn, all of Cartersville; sisters, Eleanor Garriott of Cumming and Jane Higgins of Hogansville; sister-in-law, Mary Wynn of Douglasville; grandchildren, Christopher Blasingame, Heather (John) Ayer, Rodney (Hope) Tew, Jody (Lisa) Tew, Trip Wynn, Taylor Wynn, Tanner Wynn, Zachary (Stephanie) Wynn; great-grandchildren Lexi Tew, Sydney Tew, Cali Wynn, Lily Ayer, Ava Ayer, Rachel Tew, Mitchell Tew, and Rielle Tew.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 3, 2015, at 4:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of Trinity United Methodist Church with Reverend Mike Morgan officiating. Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Trinity United Methodist Church on Tuesday evening from 5:00-8:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be grandsons Christopher Blasingame, John Ayer, Rodney Tew, Jody Tew, Trip Wynn, Tanner Wynn, and Zachary Wynn.
Honorary pallbearers include Robert Goodwin, Everette Hall, Steve Hayes, and Scott Layton.
In lieu of flowers, the Wynn Family requests donations be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 814 West Avenue, Cartersville, Georgia.
Owen Funeral Home, 12 Collins Drive, Cartersville, Georgia, is in charge of the arrangements.
