He married the love of his life, Rosa Margarita Rodriguez, on July 1, 1961. They had three sons together; David, Efren, and Eduardo. Tomas and his new wife migrated to Texas from Mexico in 1963 to provide a better life for their boys and for their piece of the American Dream.
Tomas worked in the construction industry (cement) for most of his adult life. Some of the companies he worked for were Zack Burkett Co., Brown & Root, DD Construction, Magrath Brothers Construction to name a few. He would take on both small and large jobs to make ends meet
Tomas loved music and baseball. You could often hear him playing guitar and singing at the top of his lungs the songs he grew up with, and cheering loudly for his favorite baseball team when they scored a run or made a good defensive play.
Tomas was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Wichita Falls, TX. for over 45 years, where he played guitar and sang in the choir. He was a very dedicated man to his faith and his family.

Grandchildren: Jessica Lopez and Dr. Marcos Lopez both of Wichita Falls TX. Claudia Lopez of McKinney TX., Bianca Lopez and Diego Lopez both of Little Elm TX., Onofre Lopez of San Diego CA., Xavier Lopez of The Colony, TX and Santana Lopez of North Richland Hills, TX.,
Great Grandchildren: Ava Foster and Eli Foster of McKinney, TX and Lyric Lopez and Harper Lopez of Wichita Falls, TX
Tomas was preceded in death by His loving wife of 60 years Margarita Lopez of Wichita Falls, TX and siblings Manuel Lopez, Paulino Lopez, Francisco Lopez, Mercedes Lopez all of Mexico and Jose Lopez of Menard, TX
Tomas' surviving siblings are; Maria Ramos, Eva Lopez, Asuncion Lopez, Maria Luisa Lopez, Concepción Lopez Amaya, Aurora Navarro, all of Mexico.
