Sharon was born in Clinton, Iowa to Charles and Esther Hill on June 26, 1936. She went to school at Clinton High School and Augustana College in Rockford, Illinois.
She married Orland “Spike” Dybdahl on February 14, 1957 in Clinton, Iowa. She worked as an insurance adjuster trainer for Allstate Insurance until her retirement in 1993.
She was involved in many ministries at church throughout her life including Choir director, Bell Choir, and nursery/early childhood care.
She was a member of the Lion’s Club in the 1960’s, and served as a Den Mother for Cub Scouts.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Orland “Spike” Dybdahl, her son David Duane Dybdahl, her parents, her brother John R. Hill, her brother-in-law Gilbert Sander, her brother-in-law Orlando “Duke” Dybdahl, and her niece Deborah Sander.
Sharon is survived by her son Jeffrey M. Dybdahl and his wife Sandra, her daughter-in-law Selena Dybdahl, her sister Carol Sander, her grandson Josef Loukota, her sisters-in-law Barbara Dybdahl and Barbara Hill, and Darlene McDonald and her husband Gerald, her brother-in-law Duane Dybdahl and his wife Nelda, and many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be given to Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Nassau Bay, Texas, directed to the bell choir and Kidzland early childhood ministry.
The family wishes to express their gratitude for the care and concern given by her doctors and nurses at Bay Area Regional Medical Center and Clear Lake Regional Medical Center and the members of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, especially Pastor Al Scholz and Shirley Arbet.
